Dining and Meal Plan Exemption
A student may request a dining and meal plan exemption under certain circumstances. Submitting a Dining and Meal Exemption Form does not mean that a student will be granted a reduction. The deadline for submission is the last day of Late Registration. However, students have an obligation to pay for the meal plan until their exception is approved. The form may be picked up at the Bursar’s Office. The outcome of any exemption request will be provided via email to the student’s CCGA email address. Requests received after the deadline will not be considered. If approved, a refund will be granted.
Under designated circumstances, dining and meal plan exemptions are permitted for medical conditions. Specifically, a medical conditions exemption may be granted if the student has a documented dietary requirement or medical disability, confirmed by a medical doctor, which cannot be met by the Dining Facilities. In order to qualify for an exemption under this paragraph, a student must complete a Dining and Meal Exemption Form and provide the Physician Statement information. This information must be on letterhead from a medical doctor (letters from chiropractors are not accepted) stating what the medical condition is and why such medical condition prevents the student from being on one of the College’s meal plans. In the event of food intolerance/allergies, the doctor must state specifically which food(s) the student cannot consume. The physician must also provide a diet the student is to follow for medical conditions. This includes a sample menu for meals/snacks for 3 days, foods to avoid, and foods student can eat.
Meal plans are non-refundable.
